ALL ABOUT US
Bigger & Better was set up by Emma Bracher, an independent occupational therapist with many years’ experience working with people with Parkinson’s. When her Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016, she wanted to do something proactive to encourage people to play a more active role in the management of their condition.
In 2017, she became an LSVT Big certified clinician and completed the PD Warrior training. Off the back of her training and experiences, ‘Bigger & Better’ was born. Emma has picked a top class team to work with her, all of whom share her passion - to enhance well being, and to improve and maintain quality of life.
Emma works closely with Parkinson's UK, at a local and national level, and is an active member of the Parkinson's Excellence Network.
She also has a special interest in other long-term neurological conditions, brain injury and spinal cord injury.
"I would be lost without these classes, dramatic I know but true.
There is no embarrassment, we all have the same condition and encourage each other.
These classes work because of the trust we have in our coaches and the care and dignity they show us."
"Bigger & Better has filled a glaring gap in provision for people with Parkinson’s in the area and I was previously very isolated with the condition. It has provided the opportunity to establish a community of support."
"The fact that I make a 50 mile round trip to attend my Monday morning class is testament to the enjoyment and value of the classes."
"Dignity, kindness and care come as a package when you join the groups. I can’t thank Bigger & Better enough."
"Researched and well structured. I can’t speak highly enough of this service.
The classes make me feel both mentally and physically stronger"
